A worn, lead-alloy spindle whorl of possible early medieval date, AD 700-1100. The spindle whorl is very abraded and pitted with a flat upper surface, curved sides and flat lower surface. The central aperture measures 9mm, suggesting an early medieval date. It measures 35mm in diameter, is 10mm in width and weighs 53.13g.

A solid cone with a rounded nose, flanked by two smaller cones at the ends of short opposed arms, representing twin engines if an aeroplane is intended. This is the front of a two-part construction which would be held with a rubber band looped around the projecting elements flanking the nose cone; the larger part of the toy is lost, and represented a fuselage and wings or fins. Cast oval plano-convex object with shrinkage lines suggesting its manufacture in an open mould; the convex surface is stippled suggesting this may have been cast in a sand bed, often a mark of professional lead working.
