A complete copper-alloy Livery Button showing signs of gilding, from a Modern date circa AD 1824-1894. The front of the button has a raised rim, and bears the head of a Hound or Talbot, mouth open facing left. On its reverse the suspension loop is intact, and the makers name and part of their address is legible. This is a small button from a waistcoat or sleeve cuff. Dimensions:- Diameter 16.0mm ,thickness1.2mm, and weight 2.4gm. Maker:- Firmin. St Martins Lane. London. ( 1894).
