Copper alloy mount and a copper alloy ring, probably for the suspension of a vessel. Probably Late Iron Age or Early Roman. The round-sectioned ring, complete but sprung apart at a break, is engaged with a loop at the top of the mount, below which two arms clasp a fragment of iron. The arms taper from the loop before expanding into rounded terminals, in the centre of which there is a copper alloy rivet. Some detail is obscured by corrosion. External and internal diameters of ring c.20 and c.15mm. Length and width of mount 24 and c.7mm. Thickness of iron c.3 - 4mm. No good parallel not…

Part of a post-medieval copper alloy spur side with a symmetrically placed figure-of-eight terminal, before which are two pairs of triangular lateral projections, each with a transverse engraved groove on the front face. Another groove runs along the terminal between the attachment holes. Cf SF-3E35D9 and SF-7DBB1E. Extant length 25.4mm. Width 13.5mm. The complete spur must have been rather weak: at the break and between the projections the side is only 4mm in width. Thickness 2.3mm. 17th century.

Post-medieval copper alloy asymmetrical double-looped buckle frame. One loop is pentagonal both internally and externally and the other is oval with a straight edge. Rectangular lobes at the end of the bar are of different sizes and one is placed off-centre. This discrepancy and the straight edge suggest that the fettling process was not completed. Length 24mm. Width 18.4mm. Late 16th - 17th century.

An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy decorative buckle, perhaps dating to cAD 1550 - 1700. It is missing its pin, except for an end wrapped around the bar. It is a rectangular buckle, with short shaft and collar surmounted by a decorative open work drop shape extension at the outer edge. A pair of small rectangular knops on the beveled outer bar of the frame provides 'seating' for the free end of the pin, while small scroll like knops on the inner bar hold the fixed end of the pin. The whole frame is bent outwards a little. Its light weigh suggests a buckle for something other …

Incomplete medieval copper alloy spur rowel with ten of thirty-five oval-sectioned points (now rather blunt) surviving. The inner 18mm length of each point is joined to its neighbours, thus forming an inner disc 46mm in diameter around a central hole which has been so grossly widened through wear that it resembles a keyhole. Cf. CORN-16500A, NMS-7C0B44, SUR-12F423 and an iron example from Norwich (Margeson 1993, 222-3, no. 1805). Estimated diameter 66mm. Thickness 4.5mm. Weight 48g. Mid 14th - 15th century.

A Medieval copper alloy buckle fragment, probably dating to AD 1250-1500. The fragment consists of the external edge of an oval, single looped frame. The external edge is offset, and expanded, with two wide knops flanked by much smaller ones, and with a central groove forming a pin rest. The rest of the frame is lost to old breaks. A post-Medieval copper-alloy unidentified object which has been adapted from a Fourth Issue penny of George III (1760-1820), minted at the Soho mint, Birmingham and dated 1806 on coin. Spink: 3780. Obverse: GEO[RG]IVS III D G RE[X] 1806; Bust, laureate draped right. Reverse: [BRITANNIA]; [Britannia seated left]. Diameter: 34.0mm. Weight: 15.88g. The coin has been adapted for another use. There is an off-centre circular hole with a diameter of 9.9mm. There are two further circular holes which are almost diametrically opposed. These have a diameter of about 2.8mm.
