An oblique-ended bone point, of an uncertain date. Similar items are known from Bronze Age to Medieval contexts. The bone has been worked to create a circular cross-section shaft that tapers gradually being cut into an oblique-ended point.The opposite end has been cut at straight angle, and there is some edge damage.

An incomplete Prehistoric, probably Mesolithic - Neolithic bone point or awl. The bone has been carefully worked to create an D-shaped cross-section shaft that tapers gradually into a point. The shaft flattens from its mid-point towards the opposite end, which is now damaged. It appears that this end of the tool would have been rounded off, and not continued into another point (as encountered in Saxon double-ended points). Three body sherds, one base sherd and one rim sherd from open vessels (cooking pots) of 12th to 13th century date. The fabric is variably but mostly high, fired with a grey core and surfaces varying from pale grey-buff through mid organge to very dark orange. It contains abundent, c. 25%, fine quartz sand temper and very occasional soft, rounded white to cream inclusions up to 2mm but most less than 0.5mm, probably limestone or chalk and very occaisonal hard angular patinated white and grey inclusions again up to 1mm, probably chert or flint, possibly burnt.
