A complete Medieval silver penny of Edward IV (1461-1470), Light Coinage, 1464/5-1470, minted at York under Archbishop George Neville. Initial mark: plain cross (North 1991: 88, ref: 1594-local 2). Obverse: +EDWA[RDVS REX A]nGL; Crowned bust facing, G and key by neck. Reverse: [C]IVI/TA[S/EBO/RACI]; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant, quatrefoil at centre of cross. Diameter: 15.4mm. Weight: 0.76g. DA=12:10. North, J. J. 1991. English Hammered Coinage, Volume II, Edward I to Charles II, 1272-1662. Spink & Son, London.

A triangular silver gilt plate from a post medieval dress fitting. The front of the plate has three embossed circles covered in granules; there is a central granule or pellet between. The reverse of the plate is convex with solder scars mid-way down two sides. These would have secured a soldered attachment loop (see examples quoted below) formed into two small loops for securing the fitting to a garment along with a larger loop to receive a corresponding dress hook.

A cast lead spindle whorl of early medieval date, The whorl is circular in plan, but is deformed by an old dent at one side, with a concave top and a flat bottom face and slightly sloping sides, and is white in colour. It is undecorated. It measures 19.8 to 21.5mm in diameter, is 10.8mm thick and has a slightly tapered central aperture of 8.2 - 8.8mm diameter. It weighs 25.8g. The whorl conforms to Walton Rogers form B, dating to 900-1100.
