A large, ceramic, rim sherd fragment consisting of almost half of a Roman local ware dog-dish bowl dating c. AD 45 -70
Description: The fragment consists of a plain flat rim (7.73mm thick), with slightly curved sides (57.93mm tall), and a broad flat base. The coarse fabric has a terracotta and black mottled colour, with large shell grits giving a fairly rough textured outer and inner surface. The outside surface is completely blackened.

A sherd of wheel thrown Roman black burnished ware 2 (BB2) vessel dating to the period c. AD 120 - c. AD 250.
Description: The sherd represents part of the rim of a jar. It is made from a hard, sandy black fabric with a grey core with a finely burnished silky' upper surface. The inclusions are abundant very small-medium poorly mixed quartz inclusions and some black iron and mica set in a silty matrix. Clear internal striation clearly indicate wheel thrown technology use dint its' production.
Measurements: 26.73mm long, 25.51mm high, 10.51mm thick and 7.66g in weight.

A sherd of possible wheel thrown Roman wheel thrown colour coated ceramic vessel dating.
Description: The sherd is an irregular body sherd with clear striations indicating they were part of a wheel thrown vessel. The fabric is very hard with an even oxidised outer (light orange) and unoxidsed core (light grey). The outer surface has a grey-slip which is now heavily worn. Some common mica speckling and fine black grit is present throughout. There is little mica intrusion into the inner fabric. The sherds has very worn edges.

A Post Medieval, broken cast copper alloy object of uncertain use, c, 1600 - 1800AD. The bar is sub circular in cross section and the ends, are slightly waisted in. There is a now missing central piece that suggest a probable 'T' bar form and the break point has a shoulder moulding, suggesting a slightly narrower arm, projecting from the bar. Given the shape, it may have been a tap, and or a winding key type device. The surface has a Dark green and brown patina. It is 73.71mm across with a diameter of 5.28mm, it weighs 18.3gm.

An incomplete cast lead powder flask cap, used for measuring a charge of gunpowder; of probable seventeenth century date (AD 1600 -AD 1700). The cap is mostly complete, however the mouth of the cup is squashed / crumpled resulting in vertical splits. The cap, which has an indistinct rim, is broadly circular in plan and cylindrical in profile, however much has been distorted by movement in the ploughsoil. An incomplete copper alloy probable Knife Bolster of Medieval date (AD 1250-1550). The object is a partial knife bolster with integral quillon. The object is ovate with walls 8.72mm tall. There is a sub-rectangular perforation in the central plate. Flanking the perforation are integral projecting spurs, both of which terminate in old abraded breaks. The walls taper out slightly and the opposing end from the perforated end is open.
