A complete and corroded post-Medieval copper-alloy spherical animal 'crotal' bell (1600-1800). The sub-rectangular suspension loop at the top is about 13.4mm long, 16.4mm wide, 5.0mm thick and has a sub-circular aperture. The upper and lower hemispheres are divided by a horizontal circumferential joining rib. At each side of the suspension loop, about half way down the side of the upper hemisphere, is a circular sound hole. Two sound holes in the lower hemisphere are integral with a sound 'slit'. An almost complete Medieval copper-alloy two-piece book clasp of the pierced and hinged type (c. 1150-c. 1450). Howsam 2006, type A.1.1. The attachment end of one of the sheets is missing due to breaks. This clasp comprises a folded tapering rectangular plate which is hinged round a bar on a rounded element. A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy end-cap from a scale-tang knife in the form of a horse hoof (c. 1500-c. 1600). This end-cap is oval in cross-section throughout its length and curved in side profile. The terminal (foot) is flat with a groove representing the frog and has circular indentations either side representing nails. It is has invasive, scaled, semi-abrupt retouch on both sides of the dorsal face, but none on the ventral. The non-worked side is concave. It could also be classed as a scraper.
