An early Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy narrow cruciform brooch in good condition, but recovered in two adjacent parts due to a recent break between the head and bow. It has an integrally cast facetted half round top knob above a rectangular head-plate, but the two side knobs are missing. The head plate is decorated with punched circles all around the perimeter. Nothing remains of the pin bar lug on the reverse of the headplate, though a rough area may suggest soldering where it was attached.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy finger-ring, probably dating (c. AD 43-250).
This finger-ring now comprises the bezel and shoulders only. The setting and the remaining part of the hoop are lost. The bezel is oval and measures 10.2mm x 7.0mm.
The finger-ring has a patchy green patina and the breaks are old.
Length: 19.0mm; width: 9.5mm; thickness at centre of bezel: 2.0mm. Weight: 1.62g.

Base sherd from a large vessel, base flat, slightly expanded from the 15mm thick side wall, the exterior of which is buff and bears concentric rills left from the forming process. The fabric has a grey core and contains sparse, sub-angular quartz grain. Marks on the inside of the vessel look like impressions left by chaff.Mass 109.11g Roman, c. AD 50-400.

An incomplete Late Iron Age copper-alloy European brooch of 'Knotenfibeln' or 'Boss-on-Bow' type, derived from La Téne III brooches and dating to 100-50 BC. A complete cast copper-alloy belt decoration or harness mount of post-medieval date (c.1600 - 1700).
Description: The object is lozenge or diamond shape with floral decoration, a central pellet with four larger double petals interspersed with four smaller petals, surrounded by decorative pellets, four to each side (16 total). On the reverse are the remains of two spikes for attachment. The metal has greenish patination.

Foot from a Late or Post Medieval copper alloy cauldron, D shaped section, 20.4 x 11.6mm separated by a transverse moulding from an expanded, animal foot like, terminal with four 'toes' suggested. In London, cauldron feet were found in contexts starting around 1330 (Egan, 2010, Figs. 132 and 133) but an example was found in a context dated to c.AD1500-1700 (Egan, 2005, 99, Fig. 86, No. 454) with the caveat 'Presumably from the earlier end of the dating indicated'. An incomplete copper-alloy double-looped buckle of post-medieval date (c. 1500-c. 1650).
Description: This buckle frame, of which just over 50% survives, is convex at the front and flat at the rear and is internally bevelled to the front. The missing oval loop would have been similar in size to the surviving loop. The bar is d-shaped in cross-section and at each end of the bar there is a knop. The pin is missing. The frame has a dark brown patina.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy book clasp of late post-medieval date (c. 1500-1700)
Description: The hinge is flat, measuring 31.49mm long, 17.06mm wide and 0.88mm thick. The widest end has a straight edge and may have sheared off at this point. From this widest straight end the sides of the object curve inwards and then form two rounded decorative projections. From these the sides become straight for 12mm and then two more similar rounded decorative projections before the end which has two round projections 3mm wide on the sides which give a width at this point of 16.94mm . Measurements: 15.21mm in diameter, 0.54mm thick and 0.78g in weight.
During the mid-17th (c.1648-1672) century, due to a shortage of official coins, halfpenny and farthing tokens were issued by private businesses to facilitate small change exchange.
