A complete Roman cast lead steel-yard weight with a copper alloy suspension loop. Date circa 43-410 AD.
There is a graze on its surface, possibly caused by a latter day farm implement, otherwise it is in good condition. The weight is 34.2 mm in diameter, height 33.8 mm including loop, and weighs 154.3 gm.
