An incomplete and worn Medieval silver penny of Edward I (1272-1307), minted at Canterbury. Class 10ab5, 1303-1305 (North 1991: 31, ref: 1039/3).
Obverse: EDWAR R [AN]GL D[N]S hYB; Crowned bust facing with a bifoliate crown and wedged drapery.
Reverse: CIVI/TAS/CAN/TO[R]; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.
Diameter: 17.0mm. Weight: 1.14g. DA=12:4.
