Middle Bronze Age copper alloy palstave. Straight-sided, damaged wedge-shaped butt end, with side flanges rising to form a stop-ridge with a small loop on one side. Very slightly waisted before expanding with almost straight sides to the slightly curved, damaged and corroded cutting edge. Below the stop-ridge on both faces is a slight longitudinal arris which dies out towards the blade. The casting seams are visible on both sides and most of the edges are damaged and corroded. Length 156mm. Width of cutting edge 57mm. Maximum thickness 35mm.

Description: The key has an oblong, solid stem ending in line with the bit and projecting slightly into the oval, nearly kidney shaped bow, which is broken leaving a small gap. The bit extends downwards from the stem when viewed horizontally and features asymmetrical wards and three deep clefts; two on the left hand and one on the right hand side of the bit. An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval buckle, dating to AD 1200-1450. It consists of an oval buckle frame which is oval in cross-section and has beveled outer edges; the outside edge has a pointed and grooved pin rest. The oval cross-sectioned pin is wrapped around the pin bar, which is off set and has two knobs at the ends. The plate consists of a strip of metal, which has been folded to house the pin-bar, leaving a central slot for the pin. A fragment of a ceramic vessel of uncertain date. The wall sherd is an orange red fabric which is hard with a fine texture with sparse, very small gray grit and quartz inclusions. The outer face is decorated with an incuse horizontal line, above which are incuse marks which could be letters. They appear to read KEYC or KEAT but are not terribly clear, and may only be decoration. The sherd is 22.8mm long, 18.4mm wide and 3.5mm thick. 2.3g.

A fragment of an Early Medieval small-long brooch dating from AD 450 - 550. Only part of the foot survives. It is a flat plate, the edges all broken, but with one lateral lobe surviving, and punchmarks along the edge. These are crescents (Martin type A3), with the wider end facing the edge of the brooch. An integral tab projects from the centre of the reverse. This is the remains of the catchplate which is longitudinal and incomplete, with the curl missing. An incomplete copper-alloy late Iron Age to Roman end-looped cosmetic mortar, dating to AD 1-200. It has a slightly curved bow in profile and a smoothly -rounded keel; the deep groove on the top of the bow, gives to it a U-shaped cross-section. The missing end should have had a loop or some other sort of handle. The surviving end is pointed and undecorated; the surfaces are moderate worn. A complete Post Medieval circular lead biface token, Powell type 14, depicting a cross with three pellets in each angle, dating from about AD 1550 - 1750. The reverse has faint rocker arm or wigglework decoration which is unclear, but may be a star with six arms created from three lines of rocker arm across the flan. The edge of the flan is notched with vertical lines creating a serrated effect. It is 17.9mm diameter, 2.2mm thick and 4.1g.
