An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Colchester Derivative form, dating c. 43-100 AD. The pin, spring and axis bar are missing in old breaks, though the remainder of the brooch is preserved intact. It demonstrates a winged head (the wings being flat and undecorated) with a rearward-facing hook at its midpoint on the back of the object. The front has a raised backward-looking animal with the full four legs visible, a raised and upward curled tail and a neck with outer notches (mane looking). An incomplete Late Iron Age to early Roman cast copper alloy Colchester brooch, dating from the 1st century AD. It is a Colchester type one-piece brooch. It is missing the pin and catch plate.The bow is curved, and is circular in cross section. Roman copper alloy Colchester Derivative Hinged brooch, complete apart from the lower half of the pin. The wings are plain. There is a median rib on the upper end of the bow where the cross-section is D-shaped. The rest is sub-circular sectioned with a pair of transverse grooves at the foot. A few specks of tin coating remain. Mackreth 2013, CD H 5.h. Wingspan 23.8mm. Length 30mm. c.55 - c.80 AD.

A fragment of an Early Medieval small-long brooch dating from AD 450 - 550. Only part of the foot survives. It is a flat plate, the edges all broken, but with one lateral lobe surviving, and punchmarks along the edge. These are crescents (Martin type A3), with the wider end facing the edge of the brooch. An integral tab projects from the centre of the reverse. This is the remains of the catchplate which is longitudinal and incomplete, with the curl missing.
