Description: Fragment of a medieval gilded silver finger-ring.  It has an oval bezel with two oval sheet collets, both now empty; they are set transversely to the hoop, with the shoulders meeting the bezel at the junction of the two collets. The underside of the bezel is flat. The narrow shoulders taper into the hoop on either side, both terminating in old breaks. A silver-gilt finger-ring of late Medieval date c. AD1400-1500. This artefact appears to be complete, although has been squashed out of shape, and weighs 1.00g. In the finger-ring's current condition it has an oval to sub-semicircular shaped hoop with maximum width of 18.1mm and height of 12.9mm.
