A copper-alloy medieval shield shaped strap end, dating to the period c. AD 1350-1400. Notched on each side of the plate with an angled inside edge. Two rivet holes, with no rivets surviving, one on the inside edge and one next to the bar mount. The simple bar mount is plain with a D-shaped section and is affixed with one central rivet. The rivet has a lozenge shaped rove on the back. Similar to Egan and Pritchard, Dress Accessories, page 157, no. 735

A complete copper-alloy strap fitting of Roman date, c.50 BC - AD 200. The fitting comprises two pointed ovate - or teardrop - elements, joined at the rounded ends with the points facing away from one another. A central raised circular boss within a deep circumferential recess is present to the upper surface of each element and the pointed terminals have raised curved lenticular mouldings. An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy belt mount or fitting, dating from c.17th century AD. The mount is sub triangular shaped curving up to a central ridge, and has a knop projecting from the narrowed end. At the wider edge there is a cinquefoil projection with a narrowed neck, this has a raised collar. On the surface of the face of the mount is gilding. An incomplete copper alloy Strap End/Fitting of Medieval date (AD 1350-1450). The object is composed of a flat plate of copper alloy which is sub-rectangular in plan and flat in section. A fragment of a copper alloy Post Medieval strap fitting or strap slide. The remaining portion of the front plate is flat and bell shaped, with deeply moulded foliate and scrollwork decoration arranged symetrically around a central stem and which is topped, in the narrowest portion of the frame, by a trefoil. There is a single bent and broken projecting lug which once joined to another on the now lost portion of the object.
