An incomplete post-Medieval lead alloy powder measure cap used for measuring a charge of gunpowder (c. 1600-c. 1700). Courtney 1988: 2, fig. 3.
This cap has vertical sides. The open end is damaged and the closed end is sub-oval in plan. The closed end has a pellet within an annulet at the centre. A casting seam can be seen on one of the broader sides.
One loop is intact and the other is missing.
This measure is grey.

A fragment of a post-Medieval silver head-dress pin of the 'bodkin type' (1600-1700). Treasure case no. 2018 T911.
The pointed end and the majority of the slot or loop are missing.
The pin tapers slightly in width and thickness from the stubs of the slot or loop to the break. At the stubs the width and thickness are 3.6mm x 1.8mm and at the break it measures 2.9mm x 1.5mm. The shaft is bevelled on its corners except for a small portion adjacent to the slot which is rectangular in cross-section. Description: Gold posy ring with one small heart-shaped raised design on exterior, which is otherwise undecorate. The band is D-shaped in cross-section. An incomplete Medieval copper alloy forked spacer from a composite strap end. The front and back plates are missing. The knop is elongated and undecorated. The forks are incomplete and exhibit old breaks. One of them is bent. There are patches of white concretion on the surface and smaller patches of green patina.

An incomplete copper-alloy pin of Early-Medieval date, c.AD 800 - 1000. Only the head of the pin remains which is sub-ovate, tapering to one end in to a short, circular sectioned shaft which terminates in a worn break. The front surface of the pinhead is decorated with ten (10) ring and dot motifs. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal has a dark red/brown patina and is worn. The pin is 24.1mm long, 18.9mm wide, 2mm thick and weighs 4.2g.

An incomplete copper-alloy strap slide of Roman date, AD 43 - 200. The object is a pointed ovate in plan with a central raised circular boss within a deep circumferential recess. Raised lenticular mouldings extend along both pointed terminals.
The reverse of the strap slide is concave and undecorated with the remains of an integral rectangular attachment loop projecting from either end. Both projections are worn.
The metal has a light green patina and is worn. The strap slide is 32.4mm long, 14.8mm wide, 5.7mm thick (8.6mm with loop remains) and weighs 6.9g.

A complete copper-alloy dumbbell type toggle of late Iron Age to Roman date, c.100 BC - AD 250.
The head of the object is cylindrical with a circular terminals to both ends and a double banded collar at the centre. An integral shank extends down from the reverse of the head and bends at 90 degrees before splitting in to two arms, forming a triangular loop. The orientation of the shank results in the head and arms being on different plains.
The metal has a shiny dark green patina. The head is 20.6mm long and 7.5mm in diameter. The loop is 20.8mm long, 12.1mm (at the widest point)…

A cast and slightly worn copper-alloy Medieval pilgrim badge, likely dating to the 15th century.
Description: The openwork design depicts St Roch, a pilgrim saint. Shown robed, with a 'piglrim's' hat and travellers' staff. He lifts his robe to reveal his right leg where he suffers from a wound. He is also shown, as is common with a bag or purse at his waist. The reverse of the badge flat and there is the remains of a wire attachment loop in the centre.

An incomplete probable Roman copper alloy spoon, probably dating to c. AD 43-410. The surviving portion of the spoon comprises of a concave oval, or almond-shaped, bowl with the vestigial remains of a handle, largely lost to an old break. The surviving portion of the handle is plano-convex in cross section. On the reverse of the bowl, t6he juncture between the latter and the handle is elaborated with a pointed rat's tail.

The lid is circular with a central annulet surrounded by a ring of eight smaller annulets all within a raised border. Traces of blue enamel are retained in the outermost recesses of the design. A near complete axe head formed of a coarse grained igneous rock dating from the later Neolithic date (3000-2000 BC). The axe has been knapped and pecked into shape although the surface is heavily weathered. The rock from which it is made is a mid-brown fine grained igneous - possibly a diorite with significant inclusions of elongated rectangular black crystals - possibly biotite of hornblende. All that remains is a circular disc with integral circular sectioned central shaft to the reverse which would have formed the stepped centre of the brooch proper. The upper surface of the disc has a raised border and annulet around a slightly recessed centre. The area between the border and the annulet has a ring of pellets set in a field of blue enamel. A Medieval gold annular brooch weighing 1.34g. The brooch frame has a triangular cross-section with a flat undecorated reverse surface. The frame has an external diameter of 16.5mm and the internal diameter of the loop is 11.9mm. The frame has a thickness of 0.9mm.
1.6mm of the frame's circumference contracts to form a pin constriction. This constriction reduces the width of the frame, at this place, to c.0.9mm.
