Complete cast copper-alloy gilded harness pendant with separate sexfoil swinger in the centre. The item dates to the Medieval period c. AD 1200-1400. The outer frame is also sexfoil in shape and retains significant portions of gilding on the surface. The pendant attachment rises from the top of the sexfoil frame and is rectangular in section. An incomplete Roman copper alloy terret probably dating to c. AD 50-200. One of Lewis' (2015) later forms, with triple projections, probably comprising of three sets of transverse wings. The surviving portion of the terret comprises of roughly 20% of the ring. Originally D-shaped in plan, the majority of the ring has been lost to old breaks. The ring is sub-circular in cross section. A fragment of a probable Late Bronze Age socketed axehead, probably dating to c. 1100-800 BC. The sub-rectangular fragment comprises of a sction of the mouth and socket wall; the mouth appears to have been flaring, with a moulded collar beneath, but with no other indication of decoration on the surviving fragment. A decorated, cast lead spindle whorl, of probable Early Medieval date, about AD 500 - 1000, of Walton Rogers type A1. The whorl has one flat face and one convex face which is also decorated in relief with oblique lines and chevrons. The design is worn an unclear. The central hole has a diameter of 9.8mm diameter. It is 37.9mm in diameter and 10.5mm thick. It weighs 74.52g. It has a cream coloured patina. See page 25 of Walton Rogers (2007).
