An incomplete buckle with integral hollow plate of medieval date, c.AD 1400 - 1500. Only the upper sheet of the plate survives. It is rectangular with the remains of the frame projecting from two opposing corners. Both projections are short and very worn. A rectangular perforation is present at the centre of the long edge from which the frame projects and would have housed the pin. A complete copper-alloy seal matrix of medieval date, AD 1300-1400. The die of the matrix is circular with a tapering hexagonally faceted handle extending from the reverse. The handle terminates in a circular terminal with central perforation which would have served as a suspension loop. It comprises a thin sheet plate with a pressed design of a six-armed sun or star within a raised circular border. A complete knapped lithic implement of Neolithic date, circa 4000 - 2300 BC. The implement is a scraper, designed to be held between the thumb and forefinger, formed from a tertiary flake which is sub-ovate in plan and D-shaped in section. The ventral surface is smooth and displays a striking platform and bulb of percussion. The dorsal surface is with extensive long, sub-parallel, invasive working to create the scraping edge. Moulded knops project from the ends of the bar and the outer loops of the frame are decorated with curvilinear transverse groves. A circular sectioned articulated pin remains looped around the bar. The fitting comprises a circular plate with enamelled decoration to the upper surface and an integral rectangular attachment loop to the reverse. The decoration features a central circular cell pf red enamel enclosed by four sub-ovate petal of blue enamel. The gaps between the petals also hold red enamel. A silver coin of uncertain denomination and ruler. Probably 13th - 14th century. The coin is likely from a German state and the design appears ecclesiastical. John Naylor, National Finds Advisor for Early Medieval and later coinage, states that it is always very difficult to pin these down without an adequate inscription surviving. The closest example which could be found at the time of recording was a Dünnpfennig of Eberhard I of Schwabe (1164-7), from southern Germany (Bayern) but the style here appears later.
