Copper alloy 4 maravedis resellado, which means resealed or restruck, of Philip IV (1621-1665), of Spain, countermarked with crowned IIII and another IIII on the reverse while the obverse has the date of 1659 and the number VI . So the coin, which was probably orginally an 8 maravedis of Philip III of Spain, was revalued first to 6 maravedis in 1659, as it wore down, and then to 4 maravedis, during the reign of Philip IV.
