An incomplete late Medieval lead alloy late Plantagenet issue token, dating AD1425-1490. Mitchiner & Skinner (1984:143/Pl. 2; no. 61) illustrate a token which bears a similar face design, and Mitchiner & Skinner (1984:142/Pl. 1; no. 39) illustrate a token which bears a similar shield design. A Post Medieval lead alloy bifaced token, probably dating to AD 1550-1800. This is a Powell type 2 token. The obverse of the token depicts the letters RL with a lattice panel above and below. The reverse depicts a fish or horses head. Demensions: diameter: 11.66mm; weight: 1.48g. Lead tokens are difficult to date precisely and could be medieval to post medieval in date (AD1250-1800). Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally. Those with initials are thought to be post medieval, AD1550-1800.

A complete Post-Medieval, uniface lead alloy token dating from AD1450-1600. This is a Powell type 20 token. The obverse face has a merchant's mark of a cross which splits at the bottom to create a double X. The right hand X inner arm extends to form a right-angled triangle joining central arm terminating in a cross. The reverse is undecorated. Lead alloy tokens were used for many purposes during the Medieval and Post Medieval periods, and cast by both large and small industries.
