A silver Venetian soldino of Antonio Venier dating to 1382 to 1400. Lion of St Mark in a circle on the reverse. Diameter: 16.05mm Weight: 0.35g In database record BUC-D2E99A Arwen Wood notes: The soldino was about the size of English halfpennies and was popular because of a contemporary lack of small change; soldini in fact occur as English finds more often than proper halfpennies of the period.
