Fragment of a medieval or post-medieval copper alloy cooking pot leg. The fragment has an incomplete sub-oval flat back with a flat side extending at the top at 90 degrees. The rest of the surface is irregular. Soot is visible on the back.

It is uncertain what type of vessel this leg comes from, but Egan (1998) comments that commonly used cooking vessels in the Medieval period include skillets, ewers, and cauldrons. An incomplete, heavily-worn cast copper-alloy Medieval to Post Medieval (1200 -1700 AD) pot leg.
Description: The leg is roughly triangle in form but remains irregularly shaped, in has a elognated oval cross-section. It tapers downward has from the joining point at the top which has broken away and the foot appears to have been worn away.. A prominent central ridge runs down the upper surface top to bottom. Possibly imitating other more zoomorphic example. The breaks are relatively worn and it is patinated ad mid green-grey colour.
