Medieval copper alloy buckle and intergal plate, c. 35mm long and 12mm wide, with a weight of 3.3g. The object is sub rectangular in form and rectangular in cross section. It consists of a rectangular shaped single loop buckle frame, with a slightly off set short end, which is attached to a probably semi-circular cross sectioned shaft with worn edges suggesting it is incomplete. A cast copper-alloy single loop buckle with decorative integral plate dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1250-1400). Copper-alloy double loop sub-oval buckle of post-medieval date (c. 1600 - 1720 AD), missing its pin. The buckle comprises two equally-sized oval loops either side of a central strap bar. The buckle frame is flat and ornate, with a thickening at either end of the strap bar which is framed by pointed knops. Two of these knops are now missing and the object is not in good repair; it has a fragmented, worn surface and a green patina. An incomplete copper-alloy double looped asymmetrical buckle frame of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1575-1700. The buckle frame has moulded decoration on the loops. The outer edge of the rectangular loop bears six lobed knops and two further knops are also present at symmetrical points on the outer edge. The edges of the buckle are slightly bevelled. The object has a patchy brown and green patina. It is 24.07mm in length, 19.39mm in width and 2.55mm in thickness. It weighs 2.48g. A cast copper-alloy buckle with integral plate of late early-medieval date (c. 10th-11th century). The frame is a slightly asymmetrical, elongated D shape with a possibly zoomorphic protrusion at the outer edge. The plate is slightly narrowed as it meets the frame, but widens slightly and gradually towards the attachment end, by which point it is approximately the same width as the frame.
