Medieval copper alloy buckle and intergal plate, c. 35mm long and 12mm wide, with a weight of 3.3g. The object is sub rectangular in form and rectangular in cross section. It consists of a rectangular shaped single loop buckle frame, with a slightly off set short end, which is attached to a probably semi-circular cross sectioned shaft with worn edges suggesting it is incomplete. An incomplete copper-alloy double looped asymmetrical buckle frame of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1575-1700. The buckle frame has moulded decoration on the loops. The outer edge of the rectangular loop bears six lobed knops and two further knops are also present at symmetrical points on the outer edge. A cast copper-alloy buckle with integral plate of late early-medieval date (c. 10th-11th century). The frame is a slightly asymmetrical, elongated D shape with a possibly zoomorphic protrusion at the outer edge. The plate is slightly narrowed as it meets the frame, but widens slightly and gradually towards the attachment end, by which point it is approximately the same width as the frame.
