A Roman copper alloy hinged initial T-shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 50-100. The brooch is complete apart from the pin but bent and distorted. At the head of the bow is a cylindrical wing casing, now 27.9mm wide, due to damage the right half of the wing case is angled downwards. There is a central slot through the head to allow for a hinged pin, now missing, but the copper alloy axis bar remains in situ across the slot.
