An incomplete cast copper-alloy brooch of Hod Hill type, dating c. 43-75 AD. One side lappet is missing along with the pin and apex of the head, though otherwise it is preserved relatively intact. The head itself is rectangular, demonstrating a transverse raised groove at its base. The main body of the brooch is rectangular with two moulded vertical ribs, a small sub-rectangular lappet projecting from one side. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman brooch of the Crossbow Type, dating to AD 260-410. The head has two cylindrical wings with two slightly faceted onion shaped knops at both ends; the wings house a copper-alloy axis-bar, which passes through the forementioned terminal knops. A complete and very well preserved copper-alloy seal matrix dating to the Medieval period, c. 1300-1400. This is a pedestal type, demonstrating a elongated facetted handle topped with a trefoil-shaped suspension loop, below which are two transverse collars with coincident grooves. The handle itself flares into the circular seal die, the latter decorated on its underside with the motif of John the Baptist's head laid on a platter, a knife or dagger to the right. A copper-alloy Roman vulva mount dating to the period AD 100-300. It consists of an elongated hexagonal plate, which is slighlty curved in profile. The front face of the plate has an oval raised boss with a longitudinal median groove, which tapers towards both ends. The back face of the plate is concave at the back of the boss and has two integral rivets at the short ends. The rivets have disc heads. The mount is in a very good condition. A complete cast copper-alloy key dating to the Medieval period, c. 1150-1400. It demonstrates a circular bow with a large central circular aperture. A transverse collar, now much abraded, separates the collar from the oval-sectioned shank, which extends into a sharp point.
