A post Medieval cast copper alloy mount. It is elongated teardrop shaped, convex on the front face and concave on the reverse. It has one integral pointed lug of square cross section on the reverse at the widest end. The thinnest end of the object is bent through about 150 degrees. The object is corroded and has an uneven green patina. Length 24.2mm. Width 9.2mm. Weight 1.97g.

An incomplete, cast, copper alloy, rowel spur of Post Medieval date, c1600-c1750. The artefact consists of the heel of the spur and most of each side except their terminals. The rowel box is complete, but the rowel is lost. The plain sides are a flattened D shape in cross section, with the rounded side facing outwards. The rowel box has a baluster-shaped stem, with collars above and below, and a plain opening, with rounded terminals to each side. A post-medieval (1500-1600) lead alloy dress hook of Read's Class C Type 4, rectangular in shape and D-shaped in cross-section with an integral sharp hook. The flat underside of the dress hook has a D-shaped perforation 11.5x3.1mm parallel and close to the open end (which measures 20.9x6.9mm). It is otherwise undecorated. The convex upper face is decorated with raised ribs forming a pattern of whole and half lozenges within a raised linear border flanking the edges. A fragment of a cast, copper alloy, binding strip from a Medieval casket or box, or possibly a leather object. The strip has a flattened D section. The fragment comes from one end of the strip, which tapers to a rounded terminal. Before the terminal is a countersunk peircing for a rivet, followed by a rectangular length before its break across a second peircing. The fragment is much abraded and if there was any decoration it has been lost. It has a dark grey-green patina, with patches of lighter green corrossion and bare, red-brown metal. Length 38mm. Diameter: 28.5 mm; Thickness: 2.4 mm; Weight: 10.45 g Reference: See Mitchiner (1988, 216; no. 623a) for this legend, but around a crown obverse design. PUBLIC-F179B6 on this database (found 'near Lewes', East Sussex) is near-identical but with mullets in the place of stars of the obverse. However, while this example has a similar diameter is about half its weight.

An incomplete copper-alloy strap end of Early-Medieval date, c.AD 750-950. The strap end is of Thomas' Class A, probably Type 1, although the decoration has been highly abraded, obscuring many of the details. The strap end is sub-rectangular in shape with the longer edges tapering towards one another. It is made from a single sheet of metal folded widthways.
