An incomplete late Medieval cast, copper-alloy double-looped asymmetrical buckle probably dating to between c.1350-1450. Description: The asymmetric frame is very crudely cast or possibly unfinished. One loop is sub-rectangular with the second being oval. The sub-rectangular loop has a square cross-section. The oval loop has a D-shaped cross-section. A cut half of a silver 'cross-and-crosslets' Tealby type penny of Henry II (1154-89), Class A (c.1158-1161) with a slender cross head with down-turned side arms on the sceptre, Norwich mint, moneyer Gilbert, Spink 1337, North 952. A Copper alloy late Medieval or early post Medieval stirrup shaped finger-ring with setting in-situ. A substantial, rectangular section hoop that rises up to flat tapering shoulders that terminate with a square, flat top bezel. The shoulders are decorated with an incised pattern with traces of a white metal within. The bezel contains a prominent setting, retained within a circular hole by four opposing punch marks. A complete but bent and distorted cast copper-alloy pin dating to the Roman period, c. 43-300 AD. This example is of Cool's (1990) group 5, 'pins with simple grooved heads'. The pin itself is circular-sectioned, tapering to a sharp point, Its head is plain but topped with a pointed element created by the incising of a deep transverse groove, aside from this feature the pin itself is plain and undecorated. An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch dating to the Roman period, c. 43-100 AD. This example is of Colchester Derivative rearhook type, the lower bow, pin and part of the head missing in old breaks. It demonstrates a semi-circular sectioned winged head (the wing-tips missing) with a rearward facing hook projecting from its midpoint on the reverse face of the object. This is a fragment of a heavily corroded and truncated bow brooch. Only the head of the brooch remains and consists of truncated wings that project to either side, because of damage and corrosion in this area it is impossible to determine how the pin was attached. Projecting from the front of the wings is the bow which has a small expanded panel below its apex, the brooch is truncated after this point resulting in the loss of most of the bow.
