A fragment of a large Roman enameled copper alloy brooch, 38.5mm in length and probably of trumpet derived type. The fragment consists of the foot and part of the bow, with a portion of the catchplate on the reverse. The front is decorated with concentric moulded circles in a roundel on the bow, with a flaring fantail type foot decorated with a pair of moulded spirals around a cup-shaped form. A complete copper alloy finger ring of late Roman date c. AD 250-450. The ring is made from a cut down armlet or bracelet as each terminal shows a fairly rough cut down or broken face and are slightly flattened. The band is decorated by lightly incised lines forming a chevron and leaf pattern. Cf. Crummy (1983) fig.50, no.1773 dating to the Late 3rd-4th century AD.

An incomplete, copper-alloy, Roman Umbonate plate brooch, c. AD 100-250. The body of the brooch is lozenge-shaped with rounded corners. It has a projection at each end: one is the remains of a small catchplate and the other a double-lugged hinge for the pin on the reverse. Part of the pin remains in situ, around the pin bar. The body of the brooch is distinctly domed and is decorated with concentric rings of triangular-shaped enamel alternating in colour, blue and red.
