Obverse: shield with three fleur-de-lis upon it and a crown above with the legend starting with a cross pattee AVE MARIA GRACIA *L Reverse: three stranded straight cross fleuretty with a quatrefoil in the centre and lis in the angles, all within a four arched tressure with +/V/M/A in the angles. Early medieval? copper alloy brooch or mount, 23mm long, 22mm wide and 1mm thick with a weight of 1.92g. The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section and is incomplete. It appears it would have been circularoriginally and has a central circular hole, 2-3mm in diameter in its centre. Around this is a plain raiosed central cross motif and in each 'quarter' there is a raised triangular motif sitting in the part nearest the cross. A complete cast copper-alloy miniature 'votive' socketed axehead dating to the late Iron Age or early Roman periods, c. 200 BC-AD 100. The axe realistically takes the form of a Late Bronze Age socketed axe, demonstrating a moulded socket collar (though the socket itself is not rendered), thickset body and widely splayed blade. A complete copper-alloy strap mount and pendant loop dating to the Medieval period, c 1250-1400. The bar mount is bent into a 'U' shape and riveted together at one edge, the latter being looped around a circular frame with an offset strap-bar. Preserved in fair condition with a dark green patina, the bar mount itself measures 11.35mm in length, the pendant loop 10.26mm in diameter by 1.48mm thick at its midpoint. It weighs 0.84g. A comparable example is recorded on the PAS database as SOM-724875. See also examples published in Egan and Pritchard (1991), especially nos. 1239-1241.

A complete cast copper-alloy strap loop dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250-1400. It is sub-trapezoidal in plan, consisting a rectangular-sectioned frame with a projecting rectangular 'tab' extending from its back edge. A small rectangular washer is jammed around the tip of the latter, held in place by corrosion products. Preserved in good condition with an even greenish patina, it measures 14.91mm in length, 11.66mm wide by 2.51mm thick at its midpoint, and weighs 1.25g. Copper alloy 'female' tag from a pair hooked tags. The tag has a sub-lozenge plate with scrollwork edges and a large rectangular loop at one end. At either side of the rectangular loop are two pierced lugs with a third at the rear for attachment. The centre of the plate is decorated with a foliate design of a central flower surrounded by four small buds arranged in a cross saltire; to either side is a leaf with serrated edges; above and blow is a berry. This artefact dates to the 16th century.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy fragment originating from a bow brooch of Colchester Derivative double-lugged form, dating c. 43-100 AD. Only the head survives, the bow, foot and catchplate missing. A Roman copper alloy colchester derivative Polden Hill brooch, dating to c AD 75 -175. The brooch survives largely complete, missing only the pin and axis bar, and with damage to the wing caps and catch plate.
