Early medieval? copper alloy brooch or mount, 23mm long, 22mm wide and 1mm thick with a weight of 1.92g. The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section and is incomplete. It appears it would have been circularoriginally and has a central circular hole, 2-3mm in diameter in its centre. Around this is a plain raiosed central cross motif and in each 'quarter' there is a raised triangular motif sitting in the part nearest the cross. Early medieval copper alloy strap end, 39mm long, 17mm wide and 2mm thick with a weight of 8.40g. The object is sub rectangular in form and rectangular in cross section, it is a 'tongue' shaped type which is plain except for a rectangular cross sectioned vertical ridge running down its centre, which is decorated with incised 'saltaire' crosses. The ring is incomplete, missing part of its hoop, but has a D shaped cross sectioned plain hoop and an oval shaped, rectangular cross sectioned bezel.
