A cast copper alloy seal matrix, probably the detached bezel from a signet ring. The object is a flat disc with slightly curved sides 15.2mm in diameter and 2.3mm thick. The front face has an incised retrograde letter S centrally located which is surrounded by a border of seven irregularly spaced indentations, and there are short incised vertical lines to either side of the S, and a crude arrow shape formed of three lines (possibly an attempt at a palm) between one of them and the outer edge.
