An incomplete, late Medieval cast copper-alloy rectangular buckle dating between c. 1350-1400
Description: The single loop frame is square in form, with an enlarged front edge that has two incised transverse lines across it on either side of a deep groove which forms the pin notch. The narrowed sides are slightly in-curved and have two casting sprues on each side. The strap bar has a central raised internal projection that displays an old break at its tip. The pin is missing.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman brooch of the Trumpet Type, dating to the period AD 75-250. The head consists of an oval cross-sectioned spring case, which is open at the back and at the bottom; at the sides there are two pierced end-caps, which house the axis-bar. The spring mechanism is still in place, with the chord passing below the coils; the pin is slightly bent inwards in its middle part. A Roman period cast copper-alloy figurine in the form of a sphinx. The main body is leonine, with a human female head that, despite corrosion, has a recognisable 'bun' hairstyle. The front paws are raised, and one wing of a symmetrical pair remains on the left, the other indicated by a broken stump.
The rear to the body has suggested, rather than defined, hindlimbs, and a tail represented by 'A' shaped hatches running vertically along a raised ridge.

A Roman brooch of the Aesica type. It is a bow brooch with cylindrical wings, the right one missing. The first part of the bow is a rectangular plate with a central ridge, which curves down, 12mm at its widest and with tiny knops at the 2 lower corners, to a collar, 6 mm wide. The lower part of the bow is an inverted fan shaped with 2 central ridges. The reverse of the top of the brooch shows a central groove where the pin rested. At the bottom of the reverse are the remains of a catchplate.

A complete gold early medieval bulla pendant. It is formed from a single piece of gold sheet consisting of two discs joined by a fluted strip that has been folded in half, said that the two discs overlap each other. Both discs are damaged around the circumference and slightly crumpled.

A copper-alloy Roman dolphin brooch without pin. The head has a small curved loop on the end for the sprung pin, and the head is hollow on the inside with short wings enclosed at each end. The bow is curved with a mostly complete catchplate at the foot end. The bow is also decorated with a small ridge running halfway to the foot. Weight 10.13g, length 47mm, width 19mm, thickness 3.3mm at the narrow part of the bow.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Aucissa brooch. 43AD-100AD Only the highly arched C-shaped bow survives. A pronounced ridge runs the length of the slightly tapered bow which terminates at the head and has two transverse grooves before the missing foot. The hinge mechanism, pin and catchplate are missing. 2mm of wing is present. The bow is sub semicircular in cross section with a thickeness of 2mm Length 30mm, The curvature of the bow covers 16mm. the width tapers from 6mm at the head to 3mm at the foot.

A late Iron Age or early Roman copper alloy La Tène III type brooch dating to c. AD 20 - 50. The head of the brooch comprises the spring, which is complete and the pin which is largely missing. The bow is complete and is comma-shaped in profile, circular in cross-section tapering slightly toward the foot. The bow shows some damage through wear and tear evidenced by grooves and pits in the front, top half of the bow. At its widest, the curve of the bow measures 25mm. The reverse has a catchplate that is complete. The brooch has a dark green patina.
