An incomplete copper-alloy Roman brooch of the Trumpet Type, dating to the period AD 75-250. The head consists of an oval cross-sectioned spring case, which is open at the back and at the bottom; at the sides there are two pierced end-caps, which house the axis-bar. The spring mechanism is still in place, with the chord passing below the coils; the pin is slightly bent inwards in its middle part. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman brooch of the Colchester Derivative double lug Type, dating to AD 43-100. The head has two semi-circular cross-sectioned wings, which are open towards the back. The double lug retain the copper-alloy axis-bar and the spring as well as the chord; the pin is missing. The top of the head has a median raised ridge running down the upper bow for 10.13 mm; it is flanked by two shallow grooves.
