A clipped and worn Medieval silver penny of Richard II (1377-1399), minted at York (North 1991: 62-63, refs: 1329-1330). Obverse: RIC[ARDVS R]EX AnGLlE; Crowned bust facing. Reverse: [CIVI/TAS]/EBO/RACI; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant, quatrefoil at centre of cross. Diameter: 17.0mm. Weight: 0.95g. DA=12:4. North, J. J. 1991.
