A very fine Early Medieval gold Merovingian tremissis of the 'National gold' series dating to c. AD 580-670. Unidentified mint and moneyer, possibly Frisian. The obverse depicts a bust facing left, crude in style, wearing a diadem and with stylised drapery. There is a partial linear border to the left. A post Medieval lead alloy two-disc type cloth seal from c.AD 1450-1850. Both discs and the tab linking them survive, although one disc shows a pear-shaped crack from below the right side of the tab. Both sides have raised, stamped, designs. The front, now broken, has possibly a capital A or a 5-point star now difficult to identify. On the back is a three line design, almost a rudimentary harp, now worn. The discs are 15.38mm in diameter and it is 23.66mm long including the tab and 2.91mm thick; it weighs 4.5 grams. A copper alloy ring, 24.0mm in diameter with an internal diameter of 9.8mm. The ring has a flattened slide and a flattened sub-rounded cross sectional profile. There is a projection in the form of a ridge on the opposite side to the flattened portion. Probably a miniature terret of late Iron Age date.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy skillet or posnet leg with a mounded bulbous transverse collar above a slightly everted foot which is designed to look like a hoof. The foot is sub-rectangular in plan, triangular in profile and plano-convex in section, with a flat back at 90 degrees to the base. The upper edge is broken where it has been severed from the rest of the leg. There are patches of burnt organic material on the back and sides of the foot which would have adhered to the surface when the vessel was near the fire. This is similar to record PUBLIC-117E1D.
