Copper alloy possible mount fragment. A cast plano-convex fragment with curvilinear interlaced features on one side, flat on the other. A small gap appears between relief elements, and this might hint at a failed attempt to cast an openwork piece, or simply to the failure of a solid casting. Straight upper and lower edges might suggest the limits of the piece. An origin from the head of a great square headed brooch was considered for the piece, though other possibiities remain open.
