A complete and corroded Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy closed thimble (c. 1400-c. 1550). This thimble is circular in plan and the walls taper inwards from the base towards the crown. There is a plain rim and no manufacturing marks. The outer face has lines of evenly spaced sub-circular indentations/drilled pits which spiral near the base but then become parallel. Medeival or Post medieval lead alloy weight? 22mm high, 26mm wide and 23mm thick with a weight of 108.94g. The object has a rectangular form and a hexagonal cross section, with slightly tapering sides. each of the six sides are decorated with incised lines in various combinations. The first side as shown in photo has a very worn asterix inscribed onto it, the second a double cross (hashtag). The next three faces have a three line star-like motif, the last has a cross with a double horizontal line and a single vertical one.

A bi-convex, cast lead spindle whorl, dating from the Medieval to early post-medieval period, about AD 1100 - 1600, of Walton Rogers form C2. It has a broad median band and a central, circular perforation of 9.8mm in diameter. It is decorated on both sides with a moulded pattern of closely spaced radial ridges, divided by a single, circumferential ridge to give an upper row of small triangular cells above a lower row of rectangular cells. The object comprises a rectangular bar, trapezoidal in cross-section, being bevelled on the upper surface and flat to the reverse, which at one end flares into the flat, circular loop.
