A complete and worn post-Medieval silver shilling of William III (1694-1702), minted at London and dated 1696 on coin. Obverse: GVLIELMVS III DEI GRA; Laureate and draped bust facing right. Reverse: 96 MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX 16; Four shields within which are a harp, one lion rampant, three lions passant and three fleurs-de-lis, all around a central circle with the lion of Nassau within, creating a cruciform shape. Diameter: 25.0mm. Weight: 5.81g. DA=12:6.
