An incomplete, copper alloy Roman Aesica brooch dating to c. AD 40-80. The brooch has rectangular wings with a circular casing behind it containing an axis bar. The bow is short, with a bent arch with a ridge above and leading into an undercorated, flat triangular-shaped plate. The bow head is a C-shape in profile. An incomplete, copper-alloy, Roman T-shaped brooch circa AD 43 to AD 150. The brooch consists of cylindrical wings, a straight bow, and a catch plate. At the top of the brooch there are the remains of a head-loop which projects 7mm from the centre. The cylindrical wings are 5mm diameter and a total of 25mm in length. On the reverse of the wings there is a worn central bar which runs down the back of the wings towards a flattened edge. The wings and the bow are undecorated. An incomplete pair of Roman copper alloy tweezers, of date AD 100 - 200. The tweezers consists of a long thin sheet of metal, rectangular in cross-section, folded round to form a circular loop in the middle. The arms decrease from 8.3mm wide at the loop to 2.7mm wide at the end. The tip of one arm is bent back on itself. Both arms are deformed with a curve in the middle of their length. The metal is undecorated and has a green patina. The tweezers were found at the same location as a Chatelaine brooch, PUBLIC-9E4646 and another pair of tweezers, PUBLIC-318A71.

A post-medieval ceramic stopper or bung. One end is a rough cube from which two lobes probably extended but only one remains.The two faces below the lobes are concave the other two flat. Looking down on to the cube the surface is concave in the centre. Beneath the cube the object is stepped in then tapers in a cone shape to a point at the end farthest from the cube. Half way along the cone is a wider band which goes around the cone. The object appears to be made of clay and is terracotta in colour. Length 40.5mm. Width without lobes 19mm.

A complete copper alloy roman nummus dating from the reign of Emperor Valentinian I (AD364-78), of the House of Valentinian. Obverse: bust right of emperor with pearl diademed, draped and wearing currassier. Inscription: VALENTIANVS. Reverse: Emperor advancing right dragging captive behind, carring standard, probably inscribed with a Chi-Rho (hidden by corrosion), OF/II in field. Inscription: GLORIA ROMANORVM (Glory of the Romans). The condition of the coin is fine, though as mentioned, does contain some areas of corrosion. Mint mark: CON (Arles) or (Arelatum/Constantina).

A complete Roman copper-alloy pair of tweezers of date, c.AD 100-200. The tweezers are comprised of a single piece of metal folded in half to create two parallel plates with a loop for attachment at the apex. Both plates are rectangular in plan and section with slight curves towards the tweezing ends. The tweezers are undecorated. The metal has a green patina.The tweezers were found at the same location as the Chatelaine brooch, PUBLIC-9E4646.

The annular brooch is decorated with a number of zoomorphic figures whose limbs form areas of openwork. On the brooch frame there is a constriction for the pin, which is an elongated triangle curled around the constriction. The pin is decorated with a collar between the pin and curl. The pin is bent slightly towards one side at the collar.
