An incomplete cast gilt copper-alloy buckle plate dating to the Medieval period, c. 1200-1400. Only the front half of the plate survives, its rear portion broken away in old damage. It is rectangular in plan, two small circular apertures at its rear corners representing rivet holes whereby the two halves of the plate would have been attached. From the front edge of the plate, the remnants of two tabs flanking a rectangular slot represent the point at which the buckle plate would have hinged around the strap bar of the buckle frame itself. A complete copper alloy Buckle of Medieval date (AD 1250-1400). The object is a single loop oval buckle with ornate outer edges and a narrowed and offset strap bar. The outer edge is decorated with a moulded design consisting of four lobed knops dividing four transverse ridges. The recurved, tapering wire pin is retained. A complete cast copper-alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle dating to the Post-Medieval period (c. AD 1620-1680). The buckle has pointed outer edges with ovoid knops on the corners of the frame and a lobed protrusion either end of the strap bar. The lobed protrusions, as well as the pointed outer edges, are decorated with scrolled decoration, and the frame with regularly spaced circular knops.
