A silver Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) sceatta dating to AD 730-765. Obverse depicting a diademed draped bust right, legend LV[DONIA] surrounds head. Reverse depicting cowled, seated figure right. Cf Abramson (1994, p.64, no. L075) Series L, type 13. Extremely worn.

A silver Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) sceatta (proto-penny), dating to the period AD 710-765. Obverse depicting a quilled crescent coiled right, body outlined by two lines of pellets; triangular head and cross pommée below. Reverse depicting a beaded standard enclosing a central annulet with diagonals arrows and possible Ts above; above standard a cross and horizontal lines. Cf. Abramson (1994, pp. 86-87, no. E100passim), series E, Variety A related.
