A silver Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) sceatta (proto-penny), dating to the period AD 710-765. Obverse depicting a quilled crescent coiled right, body outlined by two lines of pellets; triangular head and cross pommée below. Reverse depicting a beaded standard enclosing a central annulet with diagonals arrows and possible Ts above; above standard a cross and horizontal lines. Cf. Abramson (1994, pp. 86-87, no.
