An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1550-c. 1650). The pin is missing. The front is convex and the rear is flat. Each loop is sub-rectangular in plan and similar in size. Each outer edge is bulbous in plan and flanked each side by a pair of transverse ridges. The central bar is triangular in cross-section and has a small knop at each end. This buckle frame has a green patina and small patches of iron staining. Length: 36.7mm; width: 35.0mm; thickness: 3.2mm. Weight: 7.80g.

An assemblage of eleven handles from Medieval ceramic jugs dating from about AD 1200 - 1500. All the vessel fragments are made from a hard fabric of fine texture with frequent small grey grit and sand inclusions. Some have a pale slip and all have a yellow to olive green glaze, often on one face only. Many of the handles are decorated with deep grooves or ribbing. The object is 9.3mm tall, 9.9mm in diameter and weighs 6.4g. Weights of a similar form have been identified from Early-Medieval contexts at Cottam, East Riding of Yorkshire. Due to the lack of secure context for the current example dating it and other examples of this general type is problematic, and their use is invariably uncertain. An incomplete copper-alloy barb spring padlock case of medieval date, c. AD 1100 - 1300. The lock comprises a hollow cylindrical case with a rectangular pierced arm projecting upward from one end. A rectangular key aperture is present to the end, below the arm. The opposite end is broken and worn. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn.
