A Medieval lead circular uniface token of Powell type 14, probably dating to c. AD 1200-1500. A raised cross divides the decorated face into four equal quarters, with a pellet at the centre of each. Dimensions: diameter: c 21mm; 3.6mm thick; weight 8.96g. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date. Tokens of Powell's type 14 are thought to imitate Medieval pennies, and may therefore be of the same date.
