An assemblage of eleven handles from Medieval ceramic jugs dating from about AD 1200 - 1500. All the vessel fragments are made from a hard fabric of fine texture with frequent small grey grit and sand inclusions. Some have a pale slip and all have a yellow to olive green glaze, often on one face only. Many of the handles are decorated with deep grooves or ribbing.
