An incomplete cast copper-alloy harness pendant and portion of its suspension mount dating to the Medieval period, c. 1200-1400. It is rectangular in plan, a suspension loop turned at a perpendicular plane to the main body of the pendant and a small circular aperture at its midpoint. Threaded through the suspension loop's central circular aperture is the axis bar, which itself is held by the bifurcated lower arms of a fragmentary suspension mount that abruptly truncates directly above the central rectangular recessed slot where the harness pendant hinges. Aside from some residual gilding on its front face, no decoration is visible. Preserved in somewhat encrusted condition with an uneven brownish patina, it survives to a length of 37.41mm, 28.05mm wide at the midpoint of the pendant by 1.45mm thick, and weighs 7.71g.
Similar pendants have been recorded on the PAS database as SWYOR-32BA4D and BUC-1B64CD. The aperture at the centre of the pendant marks the place where a separate decorative quatrefoil would have been attached.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle plate dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250-1400. Only one half of the plate survives, the other missing in old breaks. It is rectangular in plan, with two circular rivet holes (one incomplete) at each side of its back edge-originally intended to secure both sides of the plate together. At its front edge, two worn rectangular 'tabs' flank a central recessed area-the tabs representing the point where the front edge of the plate would have folded over. The upper face of the plate demonstrates an extremely worn raised moulded design, the exact nature of which is impossible to discern now due to wear. Preserved in rather poor condition with an uneven brownish patina, it measures 34.41mm in length, 35.81mm wide by 2.32mm thick at its midpoint, and weighs 11.01g.
A practically identical plate to this (though better preserved) has been recorded on the PAS database, see record SF-2B2F1D.

An assemblage of eleven handles from Medieval ceramic jugs dating from about AD 1200 - 1500. All the vessel fragments are made from a hard fabric of fine texture with frequent small grey grit and sand inclusions. Some have a pale slip and all have a yellow to olive green glaze, often on one face only. Many of the handles are decorated with deep grooves or ribbing. One has three rows of short, oblique grooves decorating the wall next to the handle. Some also have holes on the inner face, pushed through into the adjoining handle on the outer face. These probably ensure that the handle is firmly attached to the wall. Many of the handles are sub-circular in cross-section; the others are flat strap-handles, still with grooves.

A complete lead weight of uncertain date. The object is cylindrical and stands upright, though slightly angled.
The metal has a mid-yellow/white patina and is worn. The object is 9.3mm tall, 9.9mm in diameter and weighs 6.4g.
Weights of a similar form have been identified from Early-Medieval contexts at Cottam, East Riding of Yorkshire. Due to the lack of secure context for the current example dating it and other examples of this general type is problematic, and their use is invariably uncertain. This function is also not certain and the object may have served another purpose.

An incomplete copper-alloy barb spring padlock case of medieval date, c. AD 1100 - 1300. The lock comprises a hollow cylindrical case with a rectangular pierced arm projecting upward from one end. A rectangular key aperture is present to the end, below the arm. The opposite end is broken and worn.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The lock is 35.1mm long, 24.6, 2.4mm thick at the arm, the case is 12.8mm in diameter. The object weighs 16.5g.
A similar padlock is illustrated in Egan (1998), p.93, fig.66. Egan suggests that such cases were used for small padlocks, probably caskets. Excavated examples from London date from the 12th century to no later than the 13th century.
