Cast copper-alloy Medieval to Post Medieval swivel strap fitting. The swivel has two separate plain oval-shaped loops with sub-oval cross section. Where the adjacent loops meet in the middle they are flattened into a broad bezel shape, at which point an integral projection from one loop passes through a hole in the second, where its end is upset to form a conical rivet, so retaining the loops and allowing them to swivel against each other. An incomplete post medieval cast copper alloy sword belt hanger dating to c.1550-1700. Approximately two thirds of the plate, length 53.5mm, width 19.8mm and thickness 1.8mm remains, along with the central suspension loop. Old breaks can be seen either side of the remaining loop where a further two loops would have been positioned. The plate has curved shaped sides and a right side trefoil terminal (the left one is missing) and incised foliate decoration on the face. An incomplete of copper alloy double looped buckle dating to c.1550-1650. One loop is missing. The remaining loop is oval and has a D-shaped section, the ouside edges expand slightly, it has a moulded floral decoration with a central fleur-de-lis. The central bar is narrowed and has a T-shaped section. At each end of the bar is a knop. The pin is made of one piece of copper alloy and is looped around the bar, with a rectangular terminal, it tapers to a blunt point. A copper alloy double looped buckle dating to c.1620-1680. The pin is missing. The frame is formed of two trapezoidal loops and has a rectangular section with a central bar. Each loop terminates in a projecting lobed knop on each outer corner. Between the two knops, the outside edge of the frame widens into a triangular projection with a horizontal groove for the pin rest.
