Cast copper alloy single-looped D-shaped buckle with two lobed knops at either end of a plain straight cylindrical bar and the remains of a metal buckle plate still attached to the strap bar which is offset and narrowed. The rest of the plate and the pin are missing and there are no grooves on the cylindrical bar for a pin rest. Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar buckle on p.22, no.86, which is dated from c.1250-1400.

An incomplete unidentified artefact formed in a zoomorphic shape of copper-alloy and iron. Dating is uncertain but probably Roman. This artefact has an incomplete length of 36.5mm, width of 10.5, thickness of 12.5mm and weighs 17.68g. At the terminal end the artefact has an oval cross-section and this has become sub-square at the break. Visually this appears to be made of copper-alloy. A Medieval copper alloy bar mount or strap fitting, probably dating to c. AD 1100-1500. The mount consists of a central perforated lobe from either side of which which projects an arm with perforated terminal; each retaining a separately made copper alloy rivet. A series of incised parallel, transverse lines on the less abraded arm creates a corded appearance. Dimentions: length 17.2mm; width 7.0mm; thickness (excluding rivet) 2.0mm; weight 0.66g. Compare similar mounts published by Egan & Pritchard (2002: 212, fig. 133), excavated in medieval contexts from London.
