An incomplete biconical lead spindle whorl, which has been cut; only half survives. The surfaces of the piece are decorated with regularly spaced raised lines, radiating from what was once a central perforation, to its outer edge. The metal has a pale grey or white patina. It has a diameter of 32.4mm, is 16.9mm thick and weighs 35.0g. The perforation was once 9.5mm in diameter. Decorated lead spindle whorls date to the medieval period, c. 1200-1500 AD.
