An incomplete copper alloy plate brooch of Roman date (AD 100-200). The object is an Umbonate or Domed boss type, Mackreth 2011, British type 6.e (see plate 109, no.11166). The object is composed of a lipped sub-circular border which steps up to a steeply domed plate with a central boss/knop. The upper edge of the plate retains a partial projecting rounded upper lobe to the back of which are twin lugs which would have had an axis bar and pin would have been accommodated. A complete copper alloy Amulet, of Roman date (AD 43-410). The object depicts a bird with folded wings standing on a phallus with the bird pecking at the phallus. The bird is small with a single ovate spur attaching it to the lower component of the amulet, this also forms the legs. A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman finger ring, dating to 300-400. Only the recessed setting for the bezel and fragments of the shoulders survive. The setting is circular in plan while the shoulders are formed by two waisted elements, which end with a transverse raised ridge. Tha back face is plain. A Roman Copper alloy developed T-Shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 75-150. The surviving fragment comprises of the head of the brooch only. The brooch features a large semi-circular headplate with a concave reverse. Cylindrical wings project from the base of the reverse of the head, holding a copper alloy axis bar in situ, and with a central rectangular slot accomodating a hinged pin, now lost.
