An incomplete copper alloy dress hook, Read class A, type 2, dating from the early post-medieval period. about AD 1550 - 1700. It has a flat, oval body with three pierced lugs for attachment, one on each side of the oval and one at the base. At one end of the oval is a transverse strip, and the remains of a broad, curved hook, part of which has broken away and is missing. The face of the body is decorated with an engraved design consisting of a spray of five leaves, edged with a border of small annulets. The reverse is plain. The hook has a smooth, light green patina. A Roman Copper alloy developed T-Shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 75-150. The surviving fragment comprises of the head of the brooch only. The brooch features a large semi-circular headplate with a concave reverse. Cylindrical wings project from the base of the reverse of the head, holding a copper alloy axis bar in situ, and with a central rectangular slot accomodating a hinged pin, now lost. A complete lead-alloy bag seal of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1807 - 1969. The seal is comprised of a single disc of metal which is perforated by holes running across its diameter which would have been for wire or textile ligatures which were used to secure a bag.
Both sides are stamped with a worn central motif in a bordered roundel depicting a pelican feeding its chicks with blood from its breast. Site Summary: Finds were made during the excavation of a mound in the grounds adjacent to the dwelling: Burton Court Eardisland. The trench in which the majority of artefacts were found measured 5 metres by 3 metres. The stratified assemblage of pottery is of regional importance being especially well preserved and evidence for a domestic non-castle medieval site dating from the twelfth to early thirteenth centuries (1100-1250)

A Post Medieval copper alloy Irish 'gun money' shilling of James II (AD 1685 - 1691), Dublin or Limerick mint, dated May 1690. The coin is 28.2mm in diameter, 1.9mm thick and weighs 7.01g. See Spink (2003) Coin sof Scotland, Ireland and the Islands, number 6580B.

A complete lead-alloy bag seal of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1750 - 1900. The seal is roughly tear drop shaped with a rectangular cross section. The front is decorated with a stamped design of the crowned Dutch shield bearing the rampant lion of Holland framed within a border of raised pellets. The reverse is stamped with "R&A" which stands for Regten en Accynsen (Customs and Excise) over the control number "456".
The metal has a light brown patina and is in fair condition. The seal is 22.3mm long, 17.8mm wide, 4.3mm thick and weighs 9.5g.
