A complete lead-alloy bag seal of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1804 - 1968. The seal is circular in plan with a rectangular cross section and is comprised of a single disc of metal which is perforated by a hole running across its diameter. The hole would have been for wire or textile ligatures which were used to secure a bag. The front has a stamped design featuring a circumferential border of raised pellets within which is the text "Carter" in flowing italics. A complete lead-alloy bag seal of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1807 - 1969. The seal is comprised of a single disc of metal which is perforated by holes running across its diameter which would have been for wire or textile ligatures which were used to secure a bag. Both sides are stamped with a worn central motif in a bordered roundel depicting a pelican feeding its chicks with blood from its breast. A complete lead-alloy bag seal of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1750 - 1900. The seal is roughly tear drop shaped with a rectangular cross section. The front is decorated with a stamped design of the crowned Dutch shield bearing the rampant lion of Holland framed within a border of raised pellets. The reverse is stamped with "R&A" which stands for Regten en Accynsen (Customs and Excise) over the control number "456". The metal has a light brown patina and is in fair condition. The seal is 22.3mm long, 17.8mm wide, 4.3mm thick and weighs 9.5g.

An incomplete lead-alloy bag seal of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1600 - 1800. The seal comprises a disc with integral connecting strip projecting from one edge and terminating in a worn break. One side of the seal bears traces of lettering which cannot be read. The metal has a mid-brown patina and is worn. The seal is 26.3mm long, 10.9mm to 4.1mm in diameter, 4.2mm thick and weighs 4.5g.

An incomplete lead-alloy kosher seal of Post-Medieval to modern date, c.AD 1650 - 2000. The seal comprises a disc with integral connecting strip projecting slightly from one edge. The strip terminates in a worn break. Both sides of the seal have raised Hebrew lettering with the Star of David. The metal has a mid-brown patina and is worn. The seal is 17.1mm in diameter, 2.9mm thick and weighs 3.9g. A similar example has been recorded as BUC-C6A87C.
